Janesville Rotary Club receives the C.D. Besadny Grant

Congratulations to the Janesville Rotary Club for receiving the C.D. Besadny Grant through the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin! The Janesville Rotary Club used their grant for a prescribed burn at their Camp Rotamer outside of Janesville, WI. The main goal of the burn was to stop the invasive plants, specifically buckthorn, from growing in the Camp’s woodland and allow for the natives species to come back in the absence of the buckthorn. Tallgrass Restoration assisted the Janesville Rotary Club not only in acquiring the grant, but also with performing the prescribed burn. Volunteers from the Janesville Rotary Club were also on hand to assist in the burn.
