Tallgrass Restoration partners with Elgin High School

Tallgrass Restoration is proud to partner with Deb Perryman (IL Educator of the Year 2006) and Elgin High School, Elgin, IL to create a rain garden outside of her 40 acres of natural area and outdoor classroom. Tallgrass will be donating the equipment and manpower to create the rain garden, and Elgin High School will purchase the native plants needed for the garden over a two year period having her environmental science students do the planting and maintaining the rain garden. In addition, Tallgrass Restoration will be doing a prescribed burn on her natural area this year. Deb has been an inspiration to our team members through her program on PBS called “Eden’s Lost and Found.” Tallgrass visited Deb and some of her students during one of our personal employee development days back in April 2007. We were all so moved by Eden’s Lost and Found, and we are extremely pleased to offer her our assistance and support.
